The Steyning Downland Scheme is a UK registered charity and we’re completely dependent on the generous giving of our supporters to be able to continue our work. Giving from local people allows us to conserve local wildlife and engage more people in the natural world. We don’t do street collections or cold calling but here are some ways you can lend your financial support to the SDS:
Make a Donation
Perhaps you are able to make a one-off donation, or you would like to commit to regular, monthly giving? The easiest way is to give on line via BT Mydonate. Please click on the link below for more information:
Regular givers are entitled to join ‘The Friends of the Steyning Downland Scheme’. If you would like to join, please remember to tick the box ‘I am happy to be contacted by the charities I donate to and fundraise for’ when signing up for BT Mydonate, so that we can add your name to our Friends mailing list.
If you are the entrepreneurial type and would like to support us through local fundraising or other creative ideas, you might like to consider joining our Supporters Group. To find out more, please contact Eleanor Gloster: firstname.lastname@example.org / 07786 547114
Leave us a Gift in your Will
Please consider making a legacy in your Will to the Steyning Downland Scheme. Legacies to UK charities are exempt from inheritance tax, so it may help reduce the amount of tax payable, if your estate is over the exempt threshold.
For suggested wording, either for a codicil (if you have already made a Will) or for a new Will, please use the forms below (these link to PDF documents):
We are particularly grateful to the Goring family for making their land available for us to manage and for their generous financial support. Many thanks indeed to all our supporters, whether financial, or in kind!
