Butterfly Walk – 25th July

Join acclaimed butterfly expert, Michael Blencowe and discover the lepidopteran delights of the Steyning Downland Scheme.  On the menu are skippers, admirals, hairstreaks, fritilleries and perhaps even the elusive Adonis Blue.

Michael has been running wildlife events in Sussex for over 15 years.  He is the co-author of ‘The Butterflies of Sussex’ and has worked with Julia Donaldson on her mothy book ‘The Woolly Bear Caterpillar’. This even is run in partnership with the Lost Woods Project.

By the end of the training event, participants may be interested to join our regular butterfly monitoring programme. Our team of butterfly monitors collect vital information which we use to tailor our habitat management. More information will be available on the day.

Please make sure you wear tough footwear with good grips and clothing appropriate for the weather.
