Mountain Biking
Around 16 acres of the the Horseshoe Woods have been set aside for use by mountain bikers. Here you’ll find a network of blue, purple and black runs for riders of different abilities. The runs and signage are all built and maintained by volunteers for anyone to use, free of charge. Please make sure you wear a cycle helmet and always walk the trails before riding them.
Access to the mountain biking area from Steyning is via the public bridleway opposite Charlton Court, on Mouse Lane (What3Words: ///lollipop.wages.inch). Or if you’re coming from the South Downs Way, via the Upper Horseshoe Bridleway. It is illegal to cycle on our network of public footpaths and please do not cycle on our permissive paths, under any circumstances.
