Steyning Downland Scheme are excited to announce plans to set up a Junior Management Board.
This is a great opportunity for young people to shape and share the way we manage the land, that has been gifted to us and that is so special to a wide variety of people in the community. The board members will have the chance to plan and pitch their projects to our adult steering group and then join in working on approved outdoor projects.
We hope that this group will bring great insight into the charity. Along with a chance to make friends, enjoy the outdoor volunteering and gain vital life skills themselves.
This group also gives the young people a chance to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award hours or other volunteering programmes (such as work experience).
This group is open to young people aged 12 to 20 years.
